The Village Inn, Twyning

About

The Village Inn is a traditional pub, popular with both locals and visitors to Twyning. As well as the central bar and restaurant area, we have a secure beer garden at the rear and seating at the front, overlooking the village green. We offer down-to-earth ‘pub grub’ and a selection of real ales.

What’s on?

The pub is unique in the village, due to our very own skittles alley (with wooden pins)! We also have a pool table, a dart board and shove-ha’penny board, and are host to a number of local teams, from skittles to crib. We’re the home of the VI Golf Society and Twyning Players (the local amateur dramatics group).

On the first Tuesday of every month (October – July), the Village Inn has a quiz to raise money for local charities. In addition, we  support a number of other local events, ranging from an annual bikers’ meet in May to morris dancing in late spring. Keep an eye on our News pages for upcoming activities; everyone’s welcome!

The team

The Village Inn is a real family affair, run by Dave and Julie Baker along with our two sons Thom (chef) and Adam (barman). We’ve lived in Twyning for more than 20 years and, as regular visitors to the pub, we jumped at the chance to run it in November 2008. We’re ably assisted by Crumpet the dog!

Brewery

The Village Inn is a Punch Taverns pub.
